The Tallest Man in the World
THE TALLEST MAN IN THE WORLD
By Ailís Ní Ríain
Directed by Ran Xia

"I want to run for my life
but my heart-beat impales me,
nails me to the spot,
theres no getting away now.
I wish to God I was invisible.

Originally produced by award-winning Cork-based Corcadorca Theatre Company in Ireland in 2013. The Tallest Man in the World is a play about an unspeakable love, almighty difference and the torment of memory. Poetic, rhythmic and highly nuanced, a trio for voices. The Tallest Man in the World was a finalist in the prestigious USA Eugene O Neill National Playwrights Conference, selected for the Great Plains Theater Conference readings in Omaha, USA in June 2017 and will be produced at The Tank Theater, West 26th Street, Manhattan, New York in March 2019.
